This unique fabric has been dyed/ printed using traditional dyeing processes. Some colours may initially transfer when in dry or wet contact with light coloured fabrics or upholstery. This transfer will reduce after a few washes but we recommend that you wash the product separately for the first few washes.

This patiala salwar is created with a soft cotton blended fabric, and is perfect to wear with your kurtas. The word Kalamkari comes from the Persian ‘Kalam’ – ‘kari’ meaning ‘drawing with a pen’. This style is around three centuries old - Kalamkari was adopted by printing communities and most of the production is now hand block printed. The intricate designs, elaborate borders and understanding of balanced composition has given Kalamkari its well-deserved place as a popular idiom. For those inclined to experiment in ethnic boho chic, style this with a long basic top, a waistcoat with heavy ethnic detailing, and ethnic sandals.
